How to read this. Every active PDS client is checked. A client appears only if something failed. Eight checks run, each catching what the others structurally cannot — No data reported, Whole-client swing, Out of proportion, Payer stopped, Credit in AR, Charges no visits, Slow decline, AR aging error.
Approving means "this is real, ignore it", so a reason is required. The reason carries forward: when a flag repeats, last month's note is offered so it takes one click.
Known limits. A uniform shift of about 20% across a whole client sits inside normal variation and will not flag. Clients with under 12 months of history get a coarser test and are tagged “short history”. The tool narrows the field; a person still judges whether a flag is a data problem or a real change at the client.
